A rare case of iatrogenic retrograde coronary dissection spreading antegradely during coronary angiography: emergency revascularization

چکیده
The incidence of iatrogenic aortocoronary dissection during percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has been reported approximately 0.1%.[1] Although rare, it may have catastrophic consequences due to rapidly impaired antegrade coronary blood f low as a result of unpredictable nature of the dissection f lap.[2] Therefore, an urgent revascularization strategy should be considered as the appropriate approach in such cases. Herein, we report a case of cardiogenic shock caused by iatrogenic coronary dissection and treated by urgent revascularization. We present this case due to its rarity in the literature.

Iatrogenic coronary artery dissection during coronary angiography with or without rupture is a rare but feared complication. We herein report a case of iatrogenic left main coronary artery dissection in a 49-year-old female. Admitted to our hospital with a recent history of severe hypotension, she develpled apnea during angiography. She was intubated and resuscitated with an Epinephrine infusio...

Spontaneous coronary artery dissection is rare and usually affects younger women in the peripartum period. Here, we report an interesting case of a 34-year-old woman with spontaneous coronary artery dissection that occurred 1 month after childbirth. Emergency coronary angiography showed stenosis of the left anterior descending artery, but immediately afterwards, a new occlusion of the right cor...

BACKGROUND Iatrogenic acute dissection of the ascending aorta following coronary angiography and percutaneous intervention is rare. This complication, if not managed urgently, can have critical results. CASE REPORT We present the case of a 70 year-old woman who was treated by primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) of the right coronary artery (RCA) for acute inferior myocardial infa...

Spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) is a rare cause of acute coronary syndrome occurring predominantly in young women without any cardiovascular risk factors, especially during the peripartum and early postpartum period. Here, we report a case of a 28-year-old pregnant woman who was found to have an isolated distal SCAD of the left anterior descending artery (LAD). Coronary angiograph...
